Postdoctoral Researcher (m/w/div) in Macromolecular Chemistry

for 15 months initially.

The Transfergroup Antiinfectives investigates new active substances against promising target structures of infection-relevant pathogens. The Leibniz-HKI is located in the "City of Science" Jena on the Beutenberg Campus and is part of the Cluster of Excellence "Balance of the Microverse".
As the economic center of Thuringia, Jena offers an attractive environment in the "Green Heart" of Germany with extensive leisure and cultural activities as well as career prospects. We are seeking highly motivated candidates that are interested to develop novel nanoparticle-based therapies against pathogenic fungi in the BMBF-funded consortium ATHANA.

Candidate’s profile:

  • Doctoral degree in Chemistry

  • Previous research experience in the modification and analysis of macromolecules, ideally in polymer chemistry

  • Ability to perform team-oriented as well as independent work

  • Great enthusiasm for applied sciences, especially in delivery technologies for small molecules
